Frequently Asked Questions
Countertop Repair or Sink Replacement Process
My countertop and sink is molded or connected together, how will you replace my sink? Will you need to remove my countertop?
This is a very popular question! Your sink and countertop are made to look like one piece, but if you look on the underside of your countertop and sink, you will see that your sink is actually installed and mounted to the underside of your countertop. Our technicians work in the convenience of your home, without removing your countertops. Our technician will first protect your flooring, appliances and cabinets, if necessary. Once completed, our technicians will disconnect the plumbing from your existing sink (if it is standard plumbing), route out your sink at the seam using a sink router, remove your sink through the sink cutout, and install your new sink in place. If you are replacing your sink with the same sink model, it will look just as it did before. Feel free to check out our videos, it will give you an insight on our sink replacement process.
What does the term “inconspicuous” mean?
Our repairs are inconspicuous, meaning that if someone were to come to your home for the first time they would not automatically go to the repaired area and notice anything different about it, but you or anyone who lives in the house will most likely be able to see it because you know exactly where to look.
What is color match material?
Color match is needed for solid surface only. The color match material is any left-over material that matches the rest of your countertop. Color match material can be a cutting board, sink cutout, cook-top cutout, or even your backsplash. Typically these are left by your fabricator or installer when your countertops were first installed.
How do I determine the color of my countertops?
There are plenty of ways to determine the color of your countertop:
- Contact the manufacturer of your product, typically they will have your product registered in their system.
- Contact the retailer, fabricators, or installers who were involved with your countertop installation.
- Check for the manufacturer code that runs along the underside of your countertop. For example, the DuPont Corian codes start with “NSF-51”.
- Submit a photo to our estimators and we will help determine the color for you.
What do I use to clean my Quartz/Granite/Solid Surface?
We highly recommend you review the manufacturer care and maintenance guidelines of your product, which typically can be accessed on their website. If you are unable to find the guidelines, we suggest simple cleaners, such as liquid dishwashing soap, warm water and a cloth.

The initial payment ensures that you are committed to the agreed upon service. This payment will be refunded if the job is cancelled prior to the appointment within one business day excluding any associated material costs.
